ABOUT US
Brilla Learning Academy was born from a desire to promote success for all children in a caring and nurturing environment that promotes mutual respect and curiosity. Many children struggle academically in one way or another. Children may struggle due to language, their reading level, low self-esteem, varying learning styles, or for a multitude of other reasons. Our goal is to provide fun, engaging, and interactive classes/services that promote not only learning but an enthusiasm for learning.
Our students are taught by our wonderful and amazing teachers who are all certified and experienced, as well as Orton-Gillingham trained. Our students come, excited to learn and craving the next activity. We use various techniques and strategies so that our students are exposed to different learning styles and can all meet with success. It is wonderful to see the sparks of creativity, curiosity, and imagination as our students are learning!
We currently offer Tutoring Services (All Subjects for Preschool-5th Grade). Our Preschool Tutoring is Kindergarten Readiness. If your child is enrolled in school in a Bilingual Education or ESL Program, we have certified Bilingual Education and ESL Teachers to help your child. We also have a certified Special Education Teacher on staff as well, for children needing tutoring with special needs.
We also offer language classes, such as Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language) for children, adults, and families. We also offer fun Enrichment Classes, such as our Science Explorers Program. We offer a varied schedule to fit your needs and those of your children.

In addition, we also offer Summer Tutoring and Summer Learning Academies during the months of July and August.

I just want to give a recommendation on an AMAZING tutoring business, Brilla Learning Academy. About a month ago I posted requesting a tutor recommendation for my 7 year old daughter who has an IEP. She still could not read and was struggling so much with virtual. As much as I tried and practiced with her. She just was not grasping it and losing confidence in herself. Luckily, (Rosalie) from Brilla Learning Academy reached out and worked with my work schedule. Rosalie has been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! She has been a teacher for over 22 years and has been finding different ways to teach her. If one way does not work she finds another way. In only a few sessions my daughter read her 1st book yesterday and I of course cried happy tears. Rosalie has restored her confidence and my daughter looks forward in going to see her. I also enrolled my other two daughters in Spanish class after their first lesson today and they said "She is the best Spanish teacher I ever had and is so nice."
Rosalie is awesome. Unfortunately with Covid 19 schools closed and I am in a nursing program. So between trying to help my first grader and do the nursing program it is a lot. We started with Brilla before schools closed and Rosalie was definitely able to jumpstart my daughter's reading. My daughter also gets discouraged and upset when she doesn't know the words which was part of the reason that I sought out of a tutor. Rosalie has a lot of patience and tricks to help her remember the rules to sound out the words. The rates are very affordable compared to other people I spoke with but the quality is still there if not more so.
